We came for a walk-in due to the good reviews and it being close to our accommodation. We sat outside and ordered the spaghetti meatballs and lasagne with a rocket, beetroot, goats cheese salad to start. Great atmosphere and lovely seating outside in the street/on the road in the summer. We received free bread at the start which was really nice and the service was excellent. Felt very authentic and the food was very tasty. We loved the salad – lots of beetroot and cheese it was so delicious and refreshing. The meatballs were tender and flavourful and the lasagne was delicious and saucy. I loved the slightly crispy bottom had so much flavour. I wish it had a bit more meat but very good still! Good value for money – we were quite full after 😋
I am literally obsessed with this place. I absolutely will be coming back next time I’m in NYC. Our server Aaron was very nice and gave me the most stellar recommendation which was the special/the spinach gnocchi. It was absolutely delicious. Everyone at my table had a taste and all were amaze. After we were recommended the Torta Al Cioccolato, which was a flower less chocolate cake and it was just as amazing as my entree and only 10 dollars. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also amazing and it had a very European feel with the free bread and outdoor seating.
My mom, my best-friend and I came here during our trip to New York. As tourists, this place felt very underground. The atmosphere was amazing and not overstimulating at all. Our server Aaron was so kind and (who I believe to be) the owner of the restaurant was very welcoming. The gnocchi spinach pasta and the chitarra pasta were PHENOMENAL. I promise I’m not even being dramatic. It. was. so. good. Food came out quick and fresh. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would
I celebrated my 50th birthday here with a group of 18 family and friends, and everything was absolutely fantastic. The staff was incredible, attentive and accommodating, and truly on top of every detail despite our large group. The service was impeccable from start to finish.
The food was authentic Italian and absolutely delicious, and the intimate atmosphere made the evening feel extra special. A perfect 10 out of 10 for food, service, and ambiance. Thank you for helping make my birthday celebration so memorable!
I thought this looked like a cute spot with good vibes. I don’t know why, but I doubted the pasta would be THAT good – but it really was! Both dishes we ordered were super tasty. The tiramisu could have done with some more alcohol, but other than that it was perfect.
What a nice surprise. One of the Italian restaurants that reminded me of the trattoria in Firenze! You can even buy 1/2 liter of wine! Good wine! The arancini and the pasta were perfect. The only complaining was the espresso coffee, not great, but hey, like we say in Italy, you can't have everything in your life! Highly recommended

My only regret is not having enough time to enjoy another meal here. This may not be a super fancy restaurant, serving special cuts of beef or select seafood (blah blah blah), I don't even know if they make their own pasta, but everything I tasted here was really good and the flavors were amazing. I guess I am speaking as a commoner. The service was nice and quick, we were accommodated at all times, starting with putting together tables for us, and making a special drink for my girlfriend, and other extras. The food was extremely good, and again, even if this meal was not filled with rare gourmet ingredients, everything was good and very affordable. I definitely want to go back.
i wish this place was open for lunch! i've been here twice, both times i've traveled to new york and made sure to come back the second time i was there! i appreciate that they have a nice outdoor seating setup which was an upgrade from the tables they had last year. on my most recent trip i got the gnocchi special and it was really good. i love love LOVE the mug of fresh cheese they give you too!! one of my favorite italian places and i can't wait to go back the next time im in the city!!
Had a group outing on a rainy Saturday evening, and we had a wonderful time at Spaghetti Incident! The spot is cozy, warm and welcoming as soon as you enter. We had a nice table set up for our group by the window, and the staff took great care of us. We order a round of drinks ranging from limoncello to martinis and a few appetizers (burrata, calamari, and brussel sprouts) to start. Most of us got pasta for our main course, of which they have a wide selection of options. I had the porcini with tagliatelle pasta and it was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend! It was so flavorful and the pasta was perfectly al dente. I easily could've had another plate. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience with spaghetti incident, and I definitely have it on my list to go back again. It's a solid option for date night or a small group setting and was the perfect warm satisfying meal on a cold rainy day.
Stopped in on a rainy weekday and was the only one here! It's a cute restaurant. I sat at the bar. Had a Sprite and bucatini in pink sauce. Holy crap the pink sauce was sooo good! They give you free bread and olive oil to start, the desserts looked good but I was too full to try them. Service was great. One small bathroom in the back of the restaurant. Would definitely come back.
Perfect little spot. Quiet and comfortable. Food was beautifully made with love and tasted delicious. Carbonara was silky and delicious. The arancini trio were all delicious as well. Hard to choose a favorite!
I am so glad we happened across this spot on Resy! The service was outstanding. We came for my partners brothers birthday. It's very cozy and you feel like family. The FOH workers were all amazing and the food was incredible. All three entrees (listed in the photo) were delicious. We will definitely be back when we are in the city!
INCREDIBLE SPOT !! Snuggled into this block, spaghetti incident is the definition of a HIDDEN gem! The coziest atmosphere, lowkey street, you feel right at home. The owner works the front of house and is the kindest soul you'll ever meet. He is so kind and accommodating, I can't say nicer things about him. Now the atmosphere is exactly what you want in NYC. Snug, filled in, cozy. 10/10. The food is outstanding. Came for Valentines Day and had the best experience. Had a Cesar salad, mixed arancini, bolognese, spinachini, half liter of wine (insanely good deal), and the pana cotta. Food was just outstanding. Came out in the most perfect flow. Could not have been a better lowkey Valentine's Day out. You did not feel rushed out of there, service was perfect. Everything on the menu was just delicious — the pana cotta was the best end to the night. I cannot wait to come back to this most special place. Cheers — what you have is so special!!
Called ahead to check on walk-in availability and the receptionist was super pleasant and let us know they had space — such a great start to the evening. After a quick stop at Bon Bon Swedish Candy, we headed over and loved the cozy interior. Our server was very helpful with pasta and wine recommendations, and every dish we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend pairing your pasta with the Montepulciano. Will definitely be back! Would recommend this spot for a date night!
